5th Year LCVP Enterprise Project

lcvp

Spotlight APD was founded in October 2014 by 5th Year LCVP students. APD stands for Advertise, Print and Design. Our Mission was to assist Clonroche Pantomine Society in their advertising, marketing and PR campaigns.

We believed we were a creative and imaginative bunch of young people and we could do it. The Pantomine Society in Clonroche were willing to give us a chance to try our ideas out.We had two teachers mentoring us; Ms Kehoe and Ms Byrne.

Pictured above are 6 representatives from the class.

JCSP- Make a Book Entry

Great fun was had by all last Friday in Cork when group of first and second year students visited the JCSP Make a Book Exhibition.

We were delighted to showcase our contribution ‘Land of the Proverb’ to this nationwide exhibition of creative work.  Students had the opportunity to let their imaginations run riot and make a book about the old proverbs.

To help illustrate their imaginative written word they also produced an inspired piece of art depicting an old school house fireplace from the 1920's with associated memorabilia. The origins and meanings of the proverbs were beautifully illustrated in book form and demonstrates excellent cross curricular involvement with the Art , English, Irish , History , Geography and Woodwork Departments.

Feedback was very encouraging and the National Director of the JCSP programme was high in her praise for this initiative. The exhibition will shortly go on tour into selected venues across County Wexford in the future.
