The first track and field event of the school calendar took place at the Hub Enniscorthy last Wednesday. The WWETB track and field is organised and run by teachers of the participating schools. A total of 9 secondary schools participated with over 300 students participating on the day. Colaiste Abbain were well represented with over 40 athletes.

All students in Coláiste Abbáin should be plotting their results from class assessments in their progress charts in the back of the student diary. This will encourage students to reflect on their progress in that subject during the academic year and to identify aspects of their coursework assessment that they need to revise more thoroughly and improve before the Summer and Christmas assessment.

Hi, my name is Johnny Waters. I attended Coláiste Abbáin from 1994 until 1999.I have great memories from there and I made great friends there also to which I still keep in touch with.  My fondest memory would have to be winning an All-Ireland Vocational school football medal. As I am a big GAA fan that was big highlight.  I work now as a self-employed carpenter /supervisor and I am currently working on a project on Kilkenny ,which is an  old listed building that holds an enormous amount of heritage and culture and it demands a lot of care and attention and is very time consuming ,but once it is completed it will be fantastic. To bring a building over 150 years from a rundown derelict state back to its original condition will give me great satisfaction.

A lovely write up by a past student. Fantastic to see our hard working past students doing so well for themselves
