Return to School August 2017

  • Wednesday 30th August     1st years only (Induction)    9 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.
  • Thursday 31st August         1st years only (Induction)    9 a.m. - 3.30 p.m.
  • Friday 1st September          1st, 2nd & 3rd years only    9 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.
  • Monday 4th September       TY, 5th & 6th years only      9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday 5th September      All students return              9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
School Calendar, Term Time, Important Dates, Examinations etc ..

• Caribbean Blue Jumper with Crest.
• White Shirt (no polo shirts).
• Grey Trousers for Boys.
• Grey Trousers/Skirts for Girls.
• Jacket only available from the school in conjunction with Matt Mernagh, Enniscorthy - €45 (compulsory).
• Black shoes (runners/trainers not allowed).
• School unifoorm must be purchased from the official supplier: Jackie Green, Clonroche.
• P.E. Polo Shirt (available from the school €20).
• Students will be fitted for school jackets and P.E. Polo Shirts during first week in school.


• One small ear ring allowed in each ear, large ear rings banned for Health & Safety reasons.
• Other visible body piercings not allowed.
• Hair must be neat and tidy at all times. No flamboyant hair colours or styles.
• No flamboyant or heavy make-up.
• Navy tracksuit bottoms required.
• Runners for P.E. (non floor marking).
• Chewing gum strictly forbidden.
• No phones allowed (see school rules).

 County Athletics Championships 7th May: Well done to Sophie Codd on winning a Silver Medal in Enniscorthy in the 250m Hurdles


Congrats to first year student JS Graham who was competing at Best of the Best in Dublin on Saturday 29 April 2017. He won a bronze medal for points fighting and a silver medal for light contact fighting.


Well done to the Colaiste Abbain school athletics team who competed in the South Leinsters in Waterford on the 4th May. Sophie Codd won her final in the 75m Hurdles and goes through to next stage of competion. Graham O Reilly came 4th in the Long Jump while the Sinnott brothers Leon and Brandon competed in the 100m Sprint but were unlucky not tto finish in the medals.

Soccer Blitz Ferrycarrig 5th May 2017... Well done to all our players involved on a great day:

  • 1st Yr Boys lost in penalty shoot out in Semi Finals v  Ramsgrange CS.
  • 2nd Yr Boys Runners Up in  Final v Bridgetown
  • 5th Yr  Boys Won 2 Lost 2 games
  • 5th Yr  Girls Won 2 Drew 1 Lost 1 game
